Components
- Dough*
- Olive oil
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- Honey or Syrup to serve them
- Roasted almonds, flaked (optional)
Way of cooking
- Open the foil with the machine or by hand until it becomes thin. If we do it on the machine, we will reach up to 5 and join two sheets 2 X 13 X 15 cm. to make a larger 26 X 30 cm. or even larger if possible.
- Put olive oil and grease the leaf well and sprinkle all over with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll it up and cut slices of about 4 – 5 cm with the knife.
- Turn the cut roll with the circles down and press with your hand to make a small patty.
- We press it a little with the rolling pin to thin around ½ cm.
- Fry in plenty of hot oil on both sides
- Put them in syrup or pour honey on top.
- If we want, we can also put roasted almonds mixed with cinnamon and sugar on top.
Notes
- If you roll out the dough in the machine, you will join three pieces, about 35 cm long.
- For dough about the size of a tennis ball, we will open a thin sheet and spread it with about 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon and 2 spoons of sugar.
